A team of 9 runners from Rolls-Royce completed the Offa's Dyke Path in three and a half days over the period 12-15 July 2014. Jon Kinder and Bryan Carr (the pair in the second photo) completed the entire distance with the other team members Andy Swift, Alan Eccleston, Bob Bond, Bill Southgate, Ian Page, Julie Smith and Steve Leach running sections with them and providing support. Our total running time, excluding stops, was 38 hours. Starting from Sedbury Cliffs at noon on the Saturday, our first overnight stop was at Pandy at 36 miles. Sunday saw us cover the 45 miles to Knighton, Monday the 50 miles to Craignant and Tuesday the final 49 miles to the finish on the sea front in Prestatyn.  We stopped each evening at hostels and enjoyed some excellent meals in pubs and of course plenty of local ales, essential for post running re-hydration (sports professionals might not agree with this approach but it works for us!). Everyone who took part agreed that the route was superb with a great deal of interesting and varied terrain and was well way-marked and well maintained. We were blessed with good weather and great views, especially from the high ground in the Black Mountains and the Clwydian Hills. If you are a running club interested in trail running then I can certainly recommend Offa's Dyke Path as one of the very best trail running routes the UK has to offer.Steve Leach - Rolls-Royce Harriers running club
