Thames Estuary Partnership invite you to their 2018 TEP Annual Forum, sponsored by Jacobs – it is one of the most exciting events of the year - gathering over 200 stakeholders from a diverse range of sectors. A varied programme of learning, networking opportunities and professional development is on offer to create a thought-provoking and inspiring day.

The overall theme for this year is, ‘Thames 2050 – Fit for the Future?’ with a keynote speech from Sir John Armitt CBE, Chair of the National Infrastructure Commission and former Chair of the Thames Estuary 2050 Growth Commission. He will present on their recommendations to the Government submitted earlier this year and then be joined by senior representatives of the leading infrastructure projects and planning authorities for a lively panel discussion on what infrastructure will be needed to deliver this vision whilst balancing the needs of community and environment.

Following on from this, there will be chaired panels covering the various strategies that could achieve Environmental Net Gain using the Natural Capital approach, the skills and diversity needed in the Capital to ensure economic and environmental prosperity of the Thames and examples of community engagement techniques that aid in enabling behaviour and systems change.

In the afternoon, there’ll be two highly participative parallel workshops to discuss in depth the challenges and opportunities of smart city resilience and natural capital accounting on the Thames, designed to have firm outputs that TEP and partners can follow up on and utilise in the year ahead.
