This fund raising event includes entrance to Kelmscott Manor (from 10 am) and lunch, which will be served at 12.00. Then enjoy a guide-led afternoon off-road ramble (5 miles) with two knowledgable guides along the Thames Path from Kelmscott to Buscot, a village that William Morris knew well. The return route will be via Buscot wharf and across Eaton Bridge back to Kelmscott in time for tea. £25 of the fee for the walk will contribute towards commissioning replica wallpaper for
William Morris’s bedroom, one of the most important rooms relating to his occupation of Kelmscott Manor between 1871 – 1896. A replica of the  ‘Lily’
wallpaper  will be commissioned in the appropriate colour.
This work is part of the £6 million conservation led development of the Manor beginning
September 2019 – May 2021
Groups limited to 15. Well behaved dogs welcome.
