A circular walk on North Hill and along the Minehead section of the South West Coast Path, as part of Somerset's Naturally Healthy May, exploring the theme of moving meditation.
In the morning, we'll play with gently flowing yoga movements and sequences as a pathway to inner awareness and stillness. Then we'll begin a mindful 'sensory' walk to the top of North Hill to the pine trees, which will be our resting place for meditation and a picnic, with an invitation to look at the natural world through our creative eyes and to respond and record if we wish through writing, sketching or photography. We'll play with ideas of moving meditation as we walk, connecting our inner world to the outer beauty of this special landscape.
No prior creative experience is required. The yoga is suitable for beginners and those with experience who want to deepen their practice. The walk is steep in places, but we'll take it steadily, with plenty of pauses. Approximate finish time 4pm.
