Barnard Castle Walkers Are Welcome invite you to join them on a 5.5 mile circular walk to the distinctive landmark of Goldsborough. This flat-topped, gritstone hill is widely visible, but less often visited and provides great views of Hury and Blackton reservoirs, with the mighty Mickle Fell beyond. Experience the sense of space and emptiness of this Upper Teesdale moorland landscape, where you really are away from it all. The route includes a stretch of the seldom walked Bowes loop of the Pennine Way. The terrain may be boggy in places, so boots/walking shoes and waterproof clothing are advised and bring a drink and packed lunch. The walk is free, but voluntary donations of £1 per person would be very much appreciated, to help towards BA WAW overheads. Please meet at the car park at the foot of Hury reservoir.
This event is part of the North Pennines Walking Festival.
