Head to the Tudor parlour at Avebury Manor and watch as Mrs Dunch is dressed and her outfit built up from a linen chemise into a fine Tudor gown.Mrs Dunch was the wife of the first owner who developed Avebury Manor from a small farmhouse into a more substantial Tudor Manor around 1560. Each layer of Mrs Dunch’s clothing was created by the National Trust Avebury’s volunteer textile group.
