WWT London Wetland Centre is a wetland reserve managed by the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in the Barnes area of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

It's an idyllic spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the City for a walk or to indulge in an afternoon of bird watching from one of the six hides. The reserve is easily accessible with pathways and bridges among the pools, meadows and gardens.

You can join guided walks and tours, feed the birds and meet the otters. Try pond dipping or enjoy the beautiful gardens.

Over 200 species of bird have been recorded on site since the Centre opened in 2000. Also making their home amongst the 300,000 plants and 27,000 trees are water voles, dragonflies, frogs, snakes, slow worms, bats, newts and butterflies, to name just a few.

The Water’s Edge café is situated overlooking the centre's entrance lake and serves a delicious selection of main dishes and sandwiches, soup, cakes, biscuits and snacks plus children’s lunch boxes.
