Rock Villa is a character house dating from 1768 situated between Llanidloes and Llanbrynmair in the picturesque hamlet of Staylitte, less than a mile from the Glyndwr's Way National Trail. Tucked away on the slopes of the Clywedog Valley we enjoy far reaching veiws of the Cambrian Mountains and a ringside seat to some beautiful sunsets.
We took ownership of Rock Villa in January 2014 and it's been lovingly redecorated to provide weary walkers with comfortable, attractive accomodation with quality linens, a particularly deep bath and as one recent guest described it "lashings of hot water". Our rooms are arranged as an ensuite triple/double/twin with a further double and single room which will sleep up to 6 people. We have extended the breakfast room to include a comfy seating area, DVD player & books etc in which guests can relax in the evening.
At Rock Villa we are passionate about good food, and being a working small holding with an extensive vegetable garden we aim to provide the best possible fresh, seasonal produce for our breakfast and evening meals. In 2015 we plan to introduce a flock of Welsh rarebreed sheep so Rock Villa's own lamb will be on the menu. However, if you fancy an evening out we will be happy to drop and collect you from our local pub,
We have a drying room with wood burning stove should your walking gear be damp, will wash and tumble dry any clothing overnight and will gladly collect from and drop back onto the trail. If you are walking with your dog they are equally welcome to spend the night with us!
Please contact us should you like any further information or wish to make a booking.
