More information

The space

A really comfortable home from home, this annex is self-contained with all modern amenities.

Upstairs is a comfortable double bedroom with an electric blanket and two sofa-beds in a separate upstairs lounge.

Downstairs has a shower room and toilet, with toiletries provided. Plus a spacious living area, with a small kitchen so you can cook breakfast or an evening meal. Coffee/tea and ingredients for toast and jam are provided.

There is a dining area, as well as sofas to snuggle up on. Free superfast WiFi (50 mb/s), TV and DVD player.

The annex is heated throughout and is comfortable at all times of the year.

Guest access

You have full and sole access to the annex which is separate from the main house, with its own front door. There is a parking space.

You have access to the garden, chairs and a table.

Please note that we have two large friendly dogs and one inquisitive cat (who is not allowed in the annex!).

There is no mobile phone signal from the house, but the superfast internet connection allows for excellent communication.

During the summer our garden is a lovely peaceful spot to relax with a book or to just enjoy the surrounding nature. We are on a comprehensive network of footpaths. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the surrounding footpaths, due to the proximity of livestock and a pheasant shoot. They are however free to run around the garden but please do clean up after them.

We are 15 minutes from Winchester train station, there is a direct line to London Waterloo (Approx 1 hour) and Clapham Junction. There are regular coaches from Winchester to and from Heathrow Airport and London Victoria with National Express coahes. A local taxi number is Wintax Car, they also have an app.

Children are very welcome to stay but must be supervised at all times, we do not have any child specific equipment.

Interaction with guests

Guests will find their stay very quiet and private. We are on hand to answer any questions but are a busy family of six and we are often out running children around. When away from the house we are always contactable.

Other things to note

A simple breakfast of cereal, toast and hot drinks is provided within the cost.

There is overnight storage space for bicycles.

Dogs must NEVER be left unaccompanied and must not be allowed on any furniture. A crate is available if required as well as dog bedding, bowls etc. if requested.

No single sex groups unless by prior arrangement.
