North Walk House was originally built in 1856 on the edge of Lynton.  It is situated in a simply stunning cliff-side location, right on the South West Coast Path with incredible views of both Exmoor and the sea, looking across to South Wales. The House stands in its own grounds of 1.5 acres offering a steep wooded hillside to explore, some 400 feet above the village of Lynmouth.

The bedrooms all have sea views and are furnished to a high standard with comfortable, king sized, double beds, made up with Egyptian cotton linen to ensure a good night’s sleep. Original wood floors with attractive rugs create a relaxed atmosphere. All have ensuite bathrooms decorated with hand-made tiles.

North Walk is a quiet no-through road, used by walkers, and only interrupted by sounds of the sea. When you step out of the house, you find yourself on the coast path a short walk from Lynton.  Dogs are welcome by agreement although it is only in some of the rooms that we take dogs as we keep some rooms suitable for guests who have allergies.

Our ethos is to provide a warm and welcoming environment so that our guests experience a relaxed and uncomplicated stay, taken in comfort with that unique blend of feeling at home combined with attentive but unobtrusive service.

We aim to be environmentally friendly, which is particularly reflected in the food we offer to our guests.  We use organic, locally sourced ingredients.  Dinner is available to guests on request. The aim is to provide a seasonal menu with a quality taste, well prepared and carefully cooked on the Aga. Sit around the large refectory style dining table, with sea views, and a log-burning stove in winter. To compliment the food we are licensed, allowing us to serve drinks and wine from our carefully selected wine list. Relax and enjoy the experience, candlelight and a little gentle music.
