The campsite is small scale, quiet and friendly, on a sheep farm, in a level field with beautiful views of unspoilt countryside in all directions. We offer our campers “CAMPING AS IT USED TO BE!”, so pitches are set around the edge of a large field, very spacious, with lots of room between.

Campfires are allowed in the hearths provided and you can buy seasoned hardwood logs, grown on the farm. Pack your sausages & prepare to relax in peace and quiet! The night sky is wonderful.

Two friendly village pubs serving very good food & real ales are a pretty, 10-15 minute, walk along the lane or across the fields.

There are varied & beautiful hill or valley walks from the campsite through lovely countryside in all directions. Up to date info is provided on recommended places to walk, eat & visit, countryside events, and days out. If you wish, when you arrive you can also buy a little map and a booklet, “Nine Great Walks from Low Greenside Farm”, to guide you (price £3).

The Lakes, the Dales, and the lovely Eden Valley are all handy for days out. There is direct access onto the Howgill Fells for long walks with only sheep to keep you company!
