Bowlees Visitor Centre is just 200 metres from the Pennine Way at Low Force.
The centre is run by the North Pennines AONB Partnership and includes events, exhibitions, gallery, Gibson's Cave, waterfalls and the excellent Cafe 1618 @ Bowlees, serving meals and drinks. An essential visit to discover more about the geology, history and wildlife of the area.
You can walk to Low Force and High Force from Bowlees. There is a car park behind the visitor centre, on the road from Middleton in Teesdale towards High Force.
