The hotel is ideally located in the centre of the medieval village of Dunster, and within Exmoor National Park with all its opportunities. The start of the South West Coast Path at Minehead is just 2 miles away. We are accredited with Visit Britain Walkers Welcome, Cyclists Welcome and Pets Welcome. We have a heated drying room and boot storage room, and maps and guided walk information are readily available together with local knowledge and advice to make your stay more enjoyable. We specialise in tailor-made packages for Walking Groups. Each year around Easter the hotel offers a 5 night accommodation package with 4 days guided walking from Minehead to Combe Martin on the South West Coast Path, to include Dinner Bed and Breakfast, packed lunches, guiding and minibus transport to and from each days walk. This gives guests the opportunity to return to a delicious meal each evening and sleep in the same bed every night without having to worry about car parking or luggage transfers. We can also offer self guided packages for the South West Coast Path, West Somerset Coast Path, Coleridge Way and MacMillan Way West.
The hotel has 28 rooms including double, single, twin and family rooms. We can also accommodate larger groups, please enquire for details.
The restaurant opens daily from 5.30 pm and sources ingredients from local suppliers wherever possible and can be accompanied by a selection of local beers or ciders, and a good wine list.
