Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300’s. Picture a Great Hall with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, you can visit the suite that Oliver Cromwell stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Trevis’ name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel’s history in 1620. The Lygon Arms has roots reaching right into the 1300’s. It’s a historic hotel in the Cotswolds, with a typically Cotswolds history.   The Inn is set in three acres of grounds which include lawns, flower gardens and croquet for the exclusive use of guest.

The Inn has 78 rooms including 6 stunning suites, some dating back to 1532. Half of the bedrooms are situated in the original buildings, and half are located in the award-winning Garden and Orchard wings. Every room and suite at the Inn has its own distinct character, individually decorated and furnished in traditional country-house style, many with fine antiques, but combined with the technology of today.

The Lygon Arms also has four rooms in a beautiful thatched cottage situated in the Inn's beautiful walled garden - The Orchard Cottage fulfills everyone's dream of a romantic English cottage.

Call us to discuss your specific requirements and they will ensure that find the perfect room for you.

The Lygon Arms Spa, a haven of peace away from the hustle and bustle of Broadway.

Situated close to the three-acre private garden, this hidden oasis provides spa and hotel guests the opportunity to unwind and rejuvenate with a variety of relaxing facilities.

Drop in for the day or stay a little longer, with pampering treatments, invigorating therapies, soothing massages or even a glass of Champagne, there’s plenty of indulgent elements available to add a touch of relaxation to your Cotswold adventure.
