The Arches Country House is an independent, family owned and run accommodation located on the outskirts of Brotton near Saltburn in North Yorkshire. Just 400 metres from The Cleveland Way on Hummersea Cliffs. We pride ourselves on our relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Our rooms are a combination of single, twin, double, family rooms and a 4-Poster room, all en-suite with baths, some with overhead shower and all with free wi-fi available throughout the building.
We attract a wide variety of guests, from businessmen looking for a comfortable stay without the noise and impersonality of a large hotel chain, to ramblers exploring the Heritage Coast Trail that passes our door. Our location is perfect for exploring the area and seeing what a great place the North Yorkshire coast is. Also close to Redcar Race Course and just a short drive from Whitby and Heartbeat Country.
The Arches Country House is owned and run by the Birkbeck family. The main building was originally a working farm dating back to 1876. It was sympathetically converted into guest accommodation in 1998, retaining many original features including the line of old stage coach archways that give the building its name. We are located just 1 mile outside of Brotton. Hunley Hall Golf Course nearby where many of our guests take the time to enjoy a game while staying with us.
