A coastal view from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path

New look to the website

3rd April 2017

Regular visitors to the website will have noticed the have been some changes. We have a new home page and we now have a blog space to talk about the family of National Trails. This is great as it makes it easier for us to tell you about opportunities, competitions, and for us to share news that is of wider interest than to users of a single Trail.

The main changes we have made are to the England Coast Path. We’ve divided the England Coast Path into 4 areas, North East, North West, South East and South West. That gives us more space to provide the information you need. As new sections of the path open we’ll be adding more and more content to the sections, but of course you can still add pictures, your favourite café, pub and fish and chip shop to the maps at any time.

It’s a really exciting time for the England Coast Path – when fully open it’ll be the longest waymarked and managed coastal path in the world. We think that is something worth celebrating! Natural England have teams working all around the coast making the path a reality. More sections will open this year, but the biggest changes will happen in 2018 when lots of new lengths of coast will sections will be opened to the public.

Please tell us what you think about the changes we’ve made, and remember to keep an eye on this blog spot for all the news.
