The Thames Path National Trali, from the Source to Hampton Court, and The Ridgeway National Trail are managed together by a joint Management Group composed of senior officers of each of the highway authorities through whose areas the Trails pass, Natural England, the Environment Agency and Tourism South East. In London the Thames Path is managed by Walk London.
A small team of staff based with Oxfordshire County Council undertakes the day to day management of the Thames Path from the Source to Hampton Court on the edge of London in conjunction with the highway authorities and other partners. Volunteers, managed by the team, carry out maintenance of much of the route.
