Walking the Thames Path in Winter

21st December 2016

We rely on the quarterly reports of our Volunteer  monitors and user feedback along the route for details of recent surface conditions along the Trail.

As the weather, the state of the Thames, water levels and the impact of flooding on the Trail  changes on a daily basis, we are unfortunately unable to give an up to date report on the condition along the whole 184 miles length on a daily or weekly basis. For flooding updates please log onto The Environment Agency  website.

Should a flooding event occur, please do not attempt to walk through flood water at all as the river bank may not be where you think it might be and the depth of water will be difficult to assess.

Although flood warnings and alerts can be found online the EA website, if there are issues or diversions to the Trail these are found on our website on the interactive map.
