From this page you can use the interactive map to find the perfect walk or ride from the South Downs Way. You can find short circular walks and rides, day walks and rides, linear walk and ride or multi day routes. These routes will enable you to explore the South Downs Way in bite size bits and find some great countryside that is off the beaten track.
The start and finish points of all the walks and rides are marked on the map below with a pin. Click on the pin and a summary of the walk or ride will be displayed below the map. Clicking for further details will enable you to download and print a route card that you can take out with you.
You can filter the routes by un-checking the tick boxed on the right to display only walks or only rides for example. The routes are also graded into easy, medium or challenging.
- Short routes are less than 5 miles, have less than 150 metres of ascent.
- Medium routes are between 5 and 10 miles, have less than 300 metres of ascent.
- Challenging routes are over 10 miles or have over 300 metres of ascent.
Multi day routes are graded on the most difficult single day.
