The car park is best accessed via Washington Village. Heading west it is 6 miles or 9.5km to Amberley and 53 miles / 85km to Winchester. This includes a mile/1.5km for the alternative SDW route via Washington village and the A24 bridge (recommended for horse riders especially) rather than crossing the busy A24 itself. Heading east it is 6 miles / 9.5km to the River Adur and the A283, 47 miles / 74km to Eastbourne.
