Beautiful and wildlife-rich areas of water meadows by the River Itchen in the heart of the city. The water meadows are owned by Winchester College, the oldest public school in Britain. Salmon spawning grounds and rich in wild flowers and butterflies, it is a sea of tranquility in the midst of the city.
There are panoramic views up to St. Catherine's Hill from the meadows and to the college.
The Itchen Way footpath follows the edge of the water meadows before crossing over St. Catherine's Hill.
Parking is available at the Tun Bridge.
