Facilities and additional informationRamsdean Down is a large area of Open Access land just to the northwest of Butser Hill - well worth the short detour from the Trail for the views alone. Below and to the west is Rakes Bottom, a classic steep sided dry valley carved by meltwaters during the Ice Age. A very good area to see chalk grassland flowers and butterflies from early spring to the end of summer.Additional information |
