Village with pub on the temporary bridleway route for the SDW across the Meon valley. There are watercress beds in the village, an important and traditional local speciality crop. Take extreme care crossing the busy A32 road here. Bus 17 between Southampton and Petersfield passes through 5 times a day Mon - Sat. Heading west on the bridleway route, it is 4 miles / 6.5km to The Milburys and about 12 miles/20km to the Winchester end of the Trail. Heading east it is about 10.5 miles / 17km to Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the A3, about 88 miles or 140km to Eastbourne.
