This moving trip along the South Downs Way is director Matt Hulse's tribute to the memory of his grandfather Eric. The rolling hills and scarp slopes of the South Downs were one of Grandpa Eric's beloved landscapes, these fantasticaly vibrant scenes feature throughout the film with the story of the journey Matt, his girlfriend Lucy and their ever excited dog Tippy take along the Trail. Eric too features in the movie with clips from family gatherings along with air drumming, ukeleles and a Union Jack cocktail stick to mark each mile travelled and each of the 96 years of Eric’s life.
This is a wonderful tribute to a man who enjoyed the pleasures of the South Downs and a fantastic video journey of a Trail along which countless thousands have travelled and enjoyed. For those new to the South Trail, it can't help but inspire you to walk the South Downs Way and will stir memories for those who have already walked it.

Saxon Shore Way & South Downs Way
The South Downs Way and the Saxon Shore Way are featured in this DVD by Aerial Britain. They both travel the length of each trail looking at the landscape features and history of the routes. Particular attention is paid to the Long Man of Wilmington, Devils Dyke, Chanctonbury Ring, Arundel Castle and Winchester Cathedral.
