Water:
Water can be a problem on the western half of The Ridgeway since the National Trail follows the high ground above the spring line villages. Water taps, often with troughs, are provided wherever possible and are found at the following locations. There are hitching posts next to most taps and a sponge clipped to the saddle could be used to wash your horse down.
