Fancy a new challenge? Then why not "Try a Trail" by downloading a pdf map and spending a day on the Pennine Bridleway National Trail. These day trips are part of the "Try a Trail" series for the 5 northern National Trails: Pennine Way, Pennine Bridleway, Cleveland Way, Yorkshire Wolds Way and Hadrians Wall.
There are now seven maps available featuring circular routes designed for mountain bikers wanting a taste of the Trail. If you fancy a two day trip then why not try the 49.4 mile "South Pennines by bike" route? This is a linear route starting from Greenfield near Oldham and ending in Bingley and featuring an overnight stop in Hebden Bridge. There are train stations at the start and end of the route.
