United Utilities will be undertaking works in the vicinity of the Pennine Bridleway in Oldham. The works will affect the section of the route following Low Gate Lane and Dirty Lane near Castleshaw Reservoir. The works at Low Gate Lane are scheduled to last 2 weeks, with the works at Dirty Lane due to last for 4 weeks. The width of Dirty Lane will be restricted during the course of the works but there will be no weekend working.
The scheme is currently scheduled to begin on 21st November 2011. Update 1st December 2011 - these works are now scheduled to begin on 2nd January 2012.
