Can you hike a monster 50 miles through the Pennines in less than 24 hours?31st January 2014
Children’s charity MedEquip4Kids is calling for teams of four to take on the Trek50 challenge - a 50 mile hike across the Pennines in under 24 hours.
The route will take you on some fantastic trails, including the Pennine Way and Pennine Bridleway, and through some of the most spectacular scenery the North West has to offer. You will also achieve a height gain equivalent to that of climbing Snowdon and Ben Nevis as you trek around the circular route.
Trek50 is a tough challenge that will test your team to the limit physically and mentally, but you will be supported throughout the event. All funds raised by the challenge will help MedEquip4Kids to improve children's healthcare.
The hike begins at day break on Saturday 21st June 2014 from Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough. Registration is £195 per team plus a minimum of £2,000 in sponsorship per team.
For more information or to register on Trek50, please visit Dream Challenges at www.actionforcharity.co.uk or call them on 01590 646410.
MedEquip4Kids improves the health of children and babies in the north of England by providing equipment not available from limited NHS resources. You can find out more about the charity at www.medequip4kids.org.uk.
