The bottom (Knettishall Heath)
The start of the Peddars Way at Knettishall Heath Country Park can be reached by the Brecks Bus. Telephone 01638 608080. (9am-12pm Mon-Friday). The Bus service runs 9am-4pm week daily, not at weekends or public holidays. Maximum notice is 2 weeks, minimum notice is 48 hours.Costs in the region of £1.50 one way.
A taxi from Thetford should cost in the region of £14.00 for a one way journey to Knettishall Heath.
Trains run frequently between Norwich and Ely stopping at Thetford. website
If you are coming from Suffolk, catch the train to Bury St Edmunds, from here there is a bus service to Coney Weston. From there it is a 2 mile walk along minor roads to the start of the Peddars Way. Coney Weston map and bus timetable.
