2. Impact on other visitors to Hadrian’s Wall WHS

© Countryside Agency

Hadrian’s Wall corridor accommodates many thousands of visitors each year and most access it by means of car and utilising the car parking provided at many sites along the Wall. It is important to consider the possible impact of your event on the enjoyment of others. Parking on kerbsides or on verges is illegal and will not be tolerated.

It is strongly recommended that large scale events are planned to avoid Bank Holiday weekends and weekends during holiday periods in the summer and that individual car use is minimised in preference for coaches and minibuses.
