Kellah Farm Cottages

Kellah Farm Cottages provide 2 self-catering holiday cottages on a busy  working hill farm. Kellah has been a small hamlet since 1402 and has been  farmed by our family for over 150 years. Kellah is 4 miles from the "Centre of Britain" market town of Haltwhistle, which is on the A69 from Carlisle to Newcastle and has an excellent range of services and shops.

Kellah is an ideal base for exploring Hadrian's Wall Country and the North and South Tyne valleys. The Lake District and the Border counties of Scotland are an hour's drive away. Around Kellah there are many fascinating walks in the hills and countryside nearby, including the Pennine Way which passes only a few hundred yards from the farm. The South Tyne Trail which follows the partially used railway line passes over the newly restored Lambley Viaduct. Fishing, bird-watching and pony-trekking are just a few of the many local attraction. Red squirrels are frequent visitors to a small area of oak woodland on our farm.

At Kellah, children are  encouraged to have hands-on experience of farming life by helping feed cattle, sheep and chickens as well as observing the day-to-day activities on a busy hill  farm. Parents too can join in if they wish.

Pets are accepted by arrangement.
