A family run Public House in the heart of Hadrian's Wall Country in the village of Gilsland on the Cumbria Northumberland Border. Three Star rating (Tourist Board). Two recently converted bedrooms, one twin with en-suite and one family/double room with en-suite.
Lunch and evening meals available in our recently re-furbished bar. Meals served between 12:00 - 15:00 and 18:00 - 21:00. The Samson Inn is now a Non-Smoking Establishment throughout.
THINGS TO DO
Hadrian's Wall is right on our doorstep, with Birdoswald Roman Fort approx 2mile along the Hadrian's Wall Path. Gilsland Spa Woods is also within easy walking distance from the Pub if you fancy tasting the Spa Waters. Hexham and Carlisle are fairly close by if you don't have a car don't worry the Hadrian's Wall Bus Service will get you there.
