New Stamping Station on Summer Passport 21 January 2010 http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/hadrianswall/article.asp?PageId=3&ArticleId=92 A new stamping station at Housesteads Fort has been added to the Summer Passport. Between 1st May and 31st October this year walkers can collect SEVEN stamps along the National Trail to qualify for the official completion badge & certificate.

Radcliffe and Maconie finish Trail 11 September 2009 http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/hadrianswall/article.asp?PageId=3&ArticleId=104 Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie completed the Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail yesterday afternoon. They set off from Bowness-on-Solway last Friday and finished at Segedunum yesterday.

Hadrian's Way Diversion 7th Sept - 11th Oct 10 September 2009 http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/hadrianswall/article.asp?PageId=3&ArticleId=103 An essential land contamination survey will take place between 7th September and 11th October in the Walker area of Newcastle. People using the Trail will be diverted for approx half a mile.

Temp closure of Chollerford Bridge 24 June 2009 http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/hadrianswall/article.asp?PageId=3&ArticleId=98 For information, Chollerford Bridge will be closed to traffic on Wednesday 1 July between 7am-7pm for bridge inspection works. A diversion will be in place. The bridge will remain open to Pedestrians and cyclists.

This is for the Evolution Music Festival on the Sunday & Monday. A signed diversion will use roads and cross over Glasshouse Bridge and back down St. Lawrence Road to rejoin HW near the Spillers building.

Jim celebrated his 83rd Birthday on the day he flew from Melbourne, Australia to start the walk!
