Joan (Gilsland, UK)

Hi, I'd like to submit two of my images for your consideration.  My name is Joan Thirlaway and I'm lucky enough to live in Gilsland, right on Hadrian's Wall.  I love the high winsill part of the Wall and spend hours out with my camera trying to capture the various moods.  No two days are the same, in fact sometimes no two hours are the same :)  I tend to take 'weather' shots and often submit my images to the BBC Look North Weather programme.  The first image was taken on the 27th of January 2007 from the low point between Cuddy's Crag and Housesteads Crag, a favourite spot of mine ( & just about every other Wall photographer) I love the way the mist is rising over the Wall.  The second picture, from the same area was taken on 9th of February 2007, the man in the bright coat is my husband, tripod carrier and part time model.  Hope you feel I've done this wonderful area justice with my shots.  Take care, Joan
