Walk the Cleveland Way National Trail north from Staithes and you will eventually pass close to an odd, concrete building that can only be described as ugly. Standing just a field back from the cliff edge and close to the coastal railway, this is none the less a structure of great historic interest and a designated Ancient Monument.
