In November 2011, South Korea hosted a World Trails Conference on the island of Jeju. This peaceful island, known for its tangerine groves, has recently created its own walking trail. Before setting up the trail, the South Korens visited the Cotswold Way on a fact finding mission, which has led to a long lasting friendship.
Tim Lidstone-Scott, the Trail Officer for the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path National Trail represented all the English and Welsh National Trails at the conference, accompanied by journalist and guide book writer Paddy Dillon. Read Paddy's account in the Ramblers Walk magazine.
