The Ramblers Association are offering a series of walks along the route in celebration of the 30th Birthday of the Yorkshire Wolds Way

Walks celebrate the 30th Anniversary

walkers in woodsVery popular with locals and tourists alike, the Yorkshire Wolds Way has its 30th anniversary on 2nd October 2012.

Covering a distance of 79 miles in an arc from Hessle to Filey, this attractive and popular route enables walkers to experience the gentle rolling chalk land hills of our countryside.

From 1st until 7th October to celebrate the anniversary, East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Ramblers Association has organised a programme of Wolds walks where routes will include some walking on various sections of this national trail.

In places this will also enable walkers to see the result of "Wander - Art on the Yorkshire Wolds Way". This is an exciting project that has seen a flurry of activity along the trail with creation of various art project sites and installation of sculptured benches.

Ramblers groups always welcome new members, so if you are interested just turn up on the day to enjoy a walk.   To read more and for information about East Yorkshire and Derwent Ramblers groups visit their website at - www.eastyorkshireramblers.org.uk
