Description
Park in the (free) car park behind the Stag and Huntsman pub, Hambleden. 665 feet of ascent in total and no stiles. Good tracks and paths descend and ascend before a steep descent to the road near Medmenham, where there's a possible visit to the church. Quiet road leads to the River Thames which is followed to Mill End and then road and field paths back to Hambleden. The route can be shortened to 5½ miles and 345 feet of ascent if the weather dictates. Optional lunch at the Stag and Huntsman pub afterwards.

There’s no need to book, just turn up about 10/15 minutes before the stated start time. No fee, but if anyone – after going on two or three Ramblers walks – wanted to walk with our group regularly, would be expected to join Ramblers (if not already members)
