Fancy a new challenge?  Then why not "Try a Trail" and have a go at this 17 mile (27km) mountain bike ride starting from Hayfield in Derbyshire.   For a map and route guide, download the pdf below.

The route incorporates sections of the Pennine Bridleway National Trail as well as bridleways and byways around Hayfield, Rowarth and Chinley, where there are also pubs and cafes to enjoy.

The ride is very hilly and described as a 'full on" mountain biking route. However, it follows a figure of eight, so there are options to shorten your day or to complete the ride over two days.

Why not reduce your carbon footprint by taking the train to Chinley; easily accessible from Manchester and Sheffield.

This map uses public bridleways and bridleways which are also popular with horse riders and walkers and you must ride responsibly. When using the Trail  by bike, please remember to give way to people on foot and horseback and when passing reduce your speed and warn people of your approach.
