Trail sections

The trail is split into 25 sections (see below). Each section is roughly the same length and is accessible from main roads. As a ranger you would be required to walk your section at least 4 times per year, each time sending in a report form (by email or post) to the National Trail Office, even if everything is okay. You may be able to undertake some maintenance yourself as you go, for example cutting back overhanging branches and brambles and collecting litter.

You will be supplied with the maps of your section, rights of way information, report forms and a copy of the cutting contract where one exists, for your particular section.
