Cycling and horse riding

IMPORTANT

We are experiencing illegal use of the Peddars Way  by trial bikes. In the Merton area this is a particular nuisance.  Cyclists and riders should note that we have erected two gates across the route at Merton.  These gates are currently unlocked.  Cycle and horse access at this point is permissive only.

Cycle Routes

Norfolk and Suffolk is excellent cycling country. Try cycling the Peddars Way and then paddle in the North Sea as a reward! Most of the Peddars Way can be cycled. Much of the route is classified as an unsurfaced county road. For exceptions to this and where cyclists cannot ride because of the footpath status please view the Cycling Route Map

For all of these sections there are alternative road links that can easily be followed.

Cyclists and horseriders cannot ride the Norfolk Coast Path.

The Norfolk Coast Partnership has created the Norfolk Coast Cycleway slightly inland from the coast which is available to purchase from our on-line shop, Sustrans and tourist information centres along the route. Please check here for other stockists.
