A section of the Offa's Dyke Path has fallen into the River Wye following heavy rain and flooding just north of Brockweir, Grid Ref. SO532 031. There is an alternative route that can be used here, via St Briavals Common from Bigsweir Bridge from the north or above Brockweir from the south. An inspection was carried out yesterday ( wednesday 5th December ) and it is hoped contractors will be on site Friday 7th to clear a route above the collapsed section. Will update on situation next week.
