(OS Ref SJ 26493 37427 –turn off the B4500 at Castle Mill)
(Or meet us Chirk Castle car park 12.45 then quick walk to Lime Kilns)
A glorious saunter along Offas Dyke from Bronygarth valley up to Chirk Castle, through fields, forest and footpaths. Follow the footsteps, and share the stories of local lords, ladies, and laundry maids, farm lads and foresters, poachers and gamekeepers, archers and armies and all sorts of creatures…
plus a special talk on Crogen Battlefield from Mark Williams
Approx 2 miles, mostly uphill, some steep sections and muddy terrain, not suitable for push chairs etc. Dress for cold weather

‘After Offa’ brings together people of all ages to share the oral history of the English and Welsh border community around Offa’s Dyke between Bronygarth, Candy and Llansilin.
