Adjoining Eastwell Lake within the boundaries of Eastwell Park, the ruins of St Mary s Church now consist principally of a Perpendicular tower with angled buttresses. A collection of 16th and 17th Century monuments were removed in 1968 to the V&A Museum for safe keeping.St Mary s is the resting place of Richard Plantagenet, the illegitimate sone of Richard II. He lived here as a stone mason to the ripe old age of 92.
