Facilities and additional information

Bigbury Camp is a large earthwork in an Iron age hill fort. It is thought that the site was occupied by the Belgic people and may be the one referred to by Julius Caesar as being overrun by Romans in 54BC. Pottery and remains of chariot equipment and slave chains have been found.
