Now redundant, the original Perpendicular church was transformed into a picturesque Gothic revival composition in 1834.The north transept was a private family pew for Lord Monson complete with fireplace and comfortable chairs.There are some features remaining from the old church, including the Perpendicular east window, a 13th Century font and piscina (basin for washing communion vessels). The church woodwork makes a remarkable collection and includes 15th Century rood screen, stalls, panelling and pulpit.
