Wye National Nature Reserve comprises of chalk grassland and woodland on steep coombes. There are spectacular views over Romney Marsh and the Weald. There are 19 species of orchid recorded and the reserve is home to some rare butterflies and moths. Cattle and sheep graze to keep the area clear of scrub. There is a 2.5 mile nature trail, which is very steep in places. The best time to visit the reserve is during the summer to enjoy the views.
