Chartwell was Sir Winston Churchill s home from 1922 until his death in 1965. It is now owned by the National Trust and open as a museum. The rooms on view are as he left them, evoking his memorable career with pictures, maps, documents and personal mementoes. A studio in the garden shows many of his paintings.
