Taxis
In some rural part of Hadrian’s Wall Country taxis can get you there even if there are no buses.
Some typical fares are: Hexham to Chesters £7.00; Brampton to Birdoswald £10.50; Carlisle to Bowness on Solway £25. Please note fares on Public Holidays and evenings will cost more. Taxis can also be busy between 0800 and 0900 and between 1500 and 1600 on school days.
