Hadrian's Wall Path | National Trail

A path for all seasons The Roman Ring runs parallel and to the south of Hadrian's Wall between Lanercost Priory and Halton Chesters. When walked in conjunction with the National Trail this makes a grand round walk equal in distance to the entire coast-to-coast Trail.  The 20-mile long Moss Troopers’ Trail, a path for fair seasons, strides out into the wilder country immediately north of the Whin Sill, from Carvoran to Newbrough.  By combining several north/south link routes the visitor may take several short circular walking breaks, or indulge in a more leisurely exploration.
